Dr. Tammy Perison’s goal is to provide quality, individualized care in a compassionate, supportive environment. She loves educating her patients and helping them become healthy, confident, and proud of their smile and dental health. Through all stages of their life, from childhood through adulthood, Dr. Perison works to cater patients’ treatment to their individual needs and personal goals.
Dr. Perison earned her bachelor’s degree in anthropology at SUNY Buffalo, where she was on the Dean’s List throughout undergrad, was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, and graduated cum laude. She then graduated from the SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1996 at the top of her class. She held the Wegman’s Scholarship throughout undergrad and dental school and achieved the William Tucker Dental Scholarship during dental school. In 1997, Dr. Perison completed a one-year residency program in Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, NY.
She is continuously taking CE courses and has earned multiple awards for continuing education. Our team is constantly striving to expand our knowledge and learn about advancing treatments, techniques, and technology to improve our patients’ health and care. The best investment Dr. Perison feels she can make is educating herself, her team, and her patients.
Dr. Perison has been practicing in the area for 20 years. She is a member of the following professional associations and organizations:
- American Dental Association (ADA)
- New York State Dental Association (NYSDA)
- Eighth District Dental Society
- UB Alumna Association
In addition, she has received advanced training in the following:
- Invisalign®
- Implant placement and restoration (Ongoing since 2001)
- CEREC® computer-assisted dentistry
- 3D cone beam X-ray technology and digital design and integration
- Diode soft tissue laser treatment
Dr. Perison lives in Orchard Park, New York, with her family. She and her husband, Kevin, have a daughter named Kaitlyn and a son named Tyler. They love their pet dog, cat, and bunny. In her spare time, Dr. Perison enjoys going on walks with her dog Buddy, volunteering in the community, reading, cooking, quilting, skiing, camping, and enjoying the outdoors and quality time with her family.
Dr. Janae Garofalo
Through best-in-class dental care, Dr. Janae Garofalo is committed to helping her patients achieve a healthy smile that they feel confident with while also creating a comfortable and empathetic environment for everyone.
Dr. Janae’s education began at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. After graduation, she moved to Buffalo and attended the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Janae graduated from UB Dental School as her class salutatorian and continues to pursue her love of education as a part-time professor at UB Dental School in the periodontics department.
During her time in dental school, Dr. Janae fell in love with the city of Buffalo and decided to complete her post-doctoral training at the Buffalo VA Hospital. At the Buffalo VA, she offered a wide range of dental care, including restorative dentistry, oral surgery, periodontal surgery, endodontics, implant placement and full mouth rehabilitation. Dr. Janae has since expanded her clinical care credentials through various continuing education courses, including a certification in oral conscious sedation and Invisalign. Dr. Janae has also received CEREC Doctors (CDOCs) training and partakes in a Spear Study Club.
Additionally, Dr. Janae is a member of several organizations, such as the American Dental Association®, New York State Dental Association, Eighth District Dental Society, Fonzi Dental Club and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Outside the office, Dr. Janae enjoys several recreational activities with her husband, including snowboarding, traveling, hiking and attending Bandits games! She also participates in a recreational bowling league with her fellow dental colleagues.
